What this site collects, and what it doesn't.

What is collected

The journal uses Vercel Analytics to count page views in aggregate. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not store IP addresses; it hashes the visitor signature for the day so a return visit later in the day counts as one session. No personal profile is built.

What is not collected

• No tracking cookies. No third-party ad cookies. No retargeting pixels.
• No email capture, newsletter signup, or contact form.
• No account system. No login. Nothing tied to your identity.
• No fingerprinting beyond what Vercel Analytics already hashes for de-dup.

Local state on your device

The reader remembers which articles you've opened (so visited cards dim) using your browser's localStorage. That data lives on your device and is never sent to the server. Clearing site data in your browser wipes it.

Upstream sources

When you click a card the browser navigates to the publisher's own site under their own privacy policy. Images on each card are loaded with referrerPolicy="no-referrer" so the upstream image host doesn't see which page on this site you're reading.
